Winning the toss and decided too bat first, on a hot day at noon, in what can only be described as a stunning batting collapse, Zurich Super Lions CC endured a catastrophic innings, crumbling from the very start under relentless pressure. The collapse began with the early dismissal of Minal at just 6 Runs (3rd over), followed by Amit who was adjudged LBW (15 Runs / 6th over) and Umair shortly after at 23.
Super Lions in form batter Sara’s departure at 25 further deepened the crisis, and despite brief resistance from Captain Loki, who fell when the score was 52 (15th over), the innings continued to unravel. The wickets of Sarfaraz (68), Prashanth (79), Deon (85), Srinivas (89), and finally Aditya Kumar at 96 sealed the Super Lions’ fate. St Gallen CC disciplined and aggressive bowling attack capitalized on every opportunity, leaving Super Lions all out for 96 in 28 overs and with no path to recovery.
