🦁 Humble Beginnings

The Zurich Lions Cricket Club (ZLCC) was born out of a deep love for cricket and a strong desire to bring the sport to the heart of Zurich. Founded in 2016, the club began with a few passionate individuals who came together to keep the spirit of the game alive. In those early days, we faced countless struggles with limited resources, no fixed ground, borrowed equipment, and the challenge of creating awareness for cricket in a city where the sport was still finding its footing. But with persistence, teamwork, and belief in our dream, we steadily grew.

🏆 A Breakthrough Year – CSNL 2021 Champions

Our defining moment came in 2021, when the Zurich Lions roared to victory in the Cricket Switzerland National League (CSNL). Against all odds, the team delivered a performance that showcased not just skill, but immense heart and character. This win marked a turning point - putting ZLCC on the map and inspiring a new generation of cricketers in Zurich.

🐾 Growing the Pride – Birth of the Super Lions (2024)

As the club flourished, so did the need for expansion. In 2024, ZLCC proudly launched a second team, the Zurich Super Lions, to welcome more talent and give everyone a platform to compete and grow. This marked a significant step in our mission to provide inclusive opportunities and build a sustainable cricketing ecosystem in Switzerland.

🏟️ Our Home – New Ground at Fehraltorf

In the latest chapter of our journey, 2025 brings a monumental milestone:
The Zurich Lions now have a dedicated home ground in Fehraltorf, Zurich. This facility is not just a playing field, it's a symbol of our persistence, growth, and dreams. With proper nets, outfield, and pavilion, it gives both Lions and Super Lions a true stage to train, host, and inspire.
