Overview of Matches:
We at ZLCC had a tough schedule on Sunday 02-July with two consecutive T-20 matches. ZLCC players exhibited exceptional skills, determination, and teamwork, resulting in resounding victories. The matches were played against strong opponents, demonstrating the team's ability to rise to challenges and deliver outstanding performances.
In their second consecutive T-20 match, the Zurich Lions faced the strong Geneva CC in an intense match. This match proved to be a nail-biting encounter, with both teams displaying exceptional cricketing skills. Zurich Lions batted first and posted a competitive total of 20 overs 185/7, thanks to the valuable contributions from the all the batters.
Lions adjusted their batting strategy in the second match, aiming for a massive total looking at the opponents. Again all ZLCC batsmen played crucial roles in stabilizing the innings and accelerating towards the end. The Lions' bowlers once again rose to the occasion, defending the target brilliantly and restricting the Geneva CC to 172 runs (GCC 20 overs 172/9), securing a great victory by 13 runs. All the bowlers once again executed their plans impeccably, then displayed disciplined bowling, causing consistent pressure on the opposition and ultimately securing a great victory for us.
